I. Process overview:

Crack is a common disease of asphalt pavement, it is due to the influence of traffic load, environmental factors and pavement material and structure, and gradually formed and expanded with the passage of time. After the crack is formed, rain water enters the base through the crack. Under the action of driving load, moving water forms to scour the structural layer, resulting in water damage such as pulp pumping or loose base, and finally leading to cracks and pits on the road surface. Road cracks not only affect the appearance of road surface and driving comfort, but also shorten the service life of the road surface.
Slotted joint is a road maintenance process that determines the size and shape of the slotted joint according to the pavement condition and the characteristics of the crack, and uses special equipment to fill the special asphalt pavement slotted material into the groove to meet the requirements and open to traffic.
The technology is suitable for crack treatment of all grades of highway asphalt pavement which meet the structural strength and good surface condition, and the crack width of treatment is 3-25mm.
